Day 1 : Arrival in Réunion Island – Transfer to Saint-Denis & Leisure Exploration
Upon arrival at Roland Garros Airport in Saint-Denis, complete immigration formalities and meet our local representative for a comfortable transfer to your hotel (approx. 10–12 km / 20–30 minutes). After check-in, spend the day at leisure exploring the charming Creole capital. Visit the iconic Barachois Promenade, admire colonial architecture along Rue de Paris, and explore the fascinating Jardin de l'État. Enjoy a relaxed evening with local cuisine and an overnight stay in Saint-Denis.
Day 2 : Saint-Denis to Cirque de Salazie & Hell-Bourg Excursion
After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to the lush Cirque de Salazie, one of the island’s most picturesque regions known for waterfalls and greenery. En route, stop at the breathtaking Voile de la Mariée cascading down steep cliffs. Continue to the charming Creole village of Hell-Bourg, ranked among France’s most beautiful villages, where you can explore traditional houses and visit the Maison Folio. After a day filled with natural beauty and culture, return to Saint-Denis for an overnight stay.
Day 3 : Saint-Denis to Cirque de Cilaos via Scenic Mountain Route
Post breakfast, check out and drive towards the dramatic Cirque de Cilaos via a thrilling mountain road with over 400 bends, offering panoramic viewpoints. On arrival, explore the quaint town of Cilaos, known for its thermal springs, vineyards, and embroidery traditions. Visit the Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Church and enjoy short nature walks around the cirque. The cool mountain climate and serene landscapes make for a relaxing overnight stay in Cilaos.
Day 4 : Cilaos to Piton de la Fournaise Volcano Exploration
After breakfast, proceed towards one of the world’s most active volcanoes, Piton de la Fournaise. Drive through the surreal lunar-like landscape of Plaine des Sables, offering a unique contrast to the island’s greenery. Stop at viewpoints such as Pas de Bellecombe for stunning crater views. Optional short hikes can be undertaken (weather permitting). Later, transfer to your hotel in the southern region for an overnight stay.
Day 5 : South Coast Wonders: Lava Flows & Waterfalls
Today explore the wild southern coast of Réunion Island. Visit the dramatic Le Grand Brûlé, where recent lava flows meet the ocean, creating surreal landscapes. Continue to the beautiful Anse des Cascades, a serene spot surrounded by palm trees and multiple waterfalls. Also explore Saint-Philippe, known for its lush vegetation and spice gardens. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay in the southern region.
Day 6 : West Coast Beaches & Lagoon Experience
After breakfast, drive towards the sunny west coast, famous for its beaches and lagoons. Reach Saint-Gilles-les-Bains, a popular seaside destination. Relax at the pristine L'Ermitage Lagoon, ideal for swimming and snorkeling due to its coral reef protection. You may also visit the Jardin d’Eden for a peaceful nature walk. Enjoy a beautiful sunset by the beach and stay overnight in Saint-Gilles.
Day 7 : Departure from Réunion Island
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Roland Garros Airport (approx. 45–50 km / 1–1.5 hrs depending on location). Depending on your flight schedule, you may enjoy last-minute shopping or a quick visit to local markets. Bid farewell to the mesmerizing landscapes of Réunion Island with unforgettable memories of volcanoes, waterfalls, beaches, and Creole culture.
