Day 1 : Arrival in Antananarivo – Gateway to Madagascar
Upon arrival at Ivato International Airport in Antananarivo, the vibrant capital of Madagascar, you will be warmly welcomed and transferred to your hotel (approx. 15 km / 30 minutes). After check-in, enjoy a relaxed orientation tour of the city covering the Upper Town, Independence Avenue, and panoramic viewpoints overlooking the highlands. Visit the historic Rova of Antananarivo (view from outside if under restoration) and explore local markets for handicrafts. Overnight stay in Antananarivo.
Day 2 : Antananarivo – Drive to Andasibe – Rainforest Experience
After breakfast, drive east through scenic landscapes to Andasibe, a lush rainforest known for its unique biodiversity. En route, visit the Peyrieras Reptile Reserve to see chameleons, frogs, and endemic species up close. Upon arrival, check in to your lodge and later enjoy a guided evening walk in the forest to spot nocturnal wildlife. This region is famous for its dense rainforest ecosystem and rare species. Overnight stay in Andasibe.
Day 3 : Andasibe – Explore Andasibe-Mantadia National Park – Lemur Safari
Today is dedicated to exploring the famous Andasibe-Mantadia National Park (approx. 5–10 km local travel). Start early with a guided trek in the park to encounter the iconic Indri-Indri, the largest living lemur species, along with other lemurs, exotic birds, and orchids. Visit the Vakona Private Reserve where you can enjoy close interactions with friendly lemurs on Lemur Island. The day offers rich wildlife experiences in Madagascar’s pristine rainforest. Overnight stay in Andasibe.
Day 4 : Andasibe – Return to Antananarivo – Fly to Morondava
After breakfast, drive back to Antananarivo (approx. 4 hours) and transfer to the airport for your domestic flight to Morondava, a charming coastal town on the west coast. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel (approx. 10 km / 20 minutes). In the evening, relax by the beach or explore the local fishing villages and markets. Morondava serves as the gateway to Madagascar’s iconic landscapes. Overnight stay in Morondava.
Day 5 : Morondava – Visit Avenue of the Baobabs – Sunset Experience
After breakfast, proceed for an excursion to the world-famous Avenue of the Baobabs (approx. 20 km / 45 minutes). This extraordinary natural site features centuries-old towering baobab trees lining a dirt road, making it one of Madagascar’s most photographed landmarks. Spend time capturing stunning views and learning about the ecological significance of these trees. Stay till evening to witness a magical sunset, a highlight for every traveler. Return to Morondava for overnight stay.
Day 6 : Morondava – Fly back to Antananarivo – Cultural Exploration
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your return flight to Antananarivo. Upon arrival, enjoy a cultural exploration of the city including a visit to Ambohimanga, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its royal history and sacred significance (approx. 25 km / 45 minutes). Explore traditional Malagasy architecture and gain insight into local culture. Later, visit artisan markets for souvenirs. Overnight stay in Antananarivo.
Day 7 : Departure from Antananarivo
After breakfast, enjoy leisure time depending on your flight schedule. You may opt for a short visit to local cafes or last-minute shopping in the city (approx. 5–10 km local travel). Later, transfer to Ivato International Airport (approx. 15 km / 30 minutes) for your onward journey, taking back unforgettable memories of Madagascar’s unique wildlife, landscapes, and culture.
