Day 1 : Arrival in Antananarivo – City Orientation & Cultural Introduction
Upon arrival at Ivato International Airport in Antananarivo, you will be warmly welcomed and transferred to your hotel (approx. 15 km / 30–40 minutes). After check-in and some relaxation, begin your Madagascar journey with a light city orientation tour covering the historic Upper Town and panoramic viewpoints. Visit the iconic Rova of Antananarivo (Queen’s Palace) and explore the vibrant local markets showcasing Malagasy handicrafts. Enjoy a relaxed evening soaking in the capital’s cultural charm. Overnight stay in Antananarivo.
Day 2 : Antananarivo – Drive to Andasibe – Rainforest Experience
After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Andasibe, passing through lush landscapes, waterfalls, and small Malagasy villages (approx. 140 km / 4–5 hours). En route, enjoy brief stops for photography and local interaction. Upon arrival, check in to your lodge surrounded by dense rainforest. In the evening, experience an exciting nocturnal walk in the forest to spot unique wildlife like chameleons, frogs, and nocturnal lemurs. Overnight stay in Andasibe.
Day 3 : Andasibe National Park Exploration – Lemurs & Biodiversity
Today is dedicated to exploring the famous Andasibe-Mantadia National Park, one of Madagascar’s top wildlife destinations. Begin with a guided morning walk through the park, home to the largest lemur species, the Indri-Indri, known for its haunting calls. Discover diverse flora, exotic birds, orchids, and endemic reptiles. Later, visit Vakona Private Reserve where you can closely interact with friendly lemurs on Lemur Island. Spend the evening at leisure enjoying the tranquil rainforest environment. Overnight stay in Andasibe.
Day 4 : Andasibe – Return to Antananarivo – Fly to Morondava
After breakfast, drive back to Antananarivo (approx. 140 km / 4–5 hours). Upon arrival, transfer to the airport for your domestic flight to Morondava (flight duration approx. 1 hour). On arrival, transfer to your hotel (approx. 10 km / 20 minutes). In the late afternoon, visit the world-famous Avenue of the Baobabs, a surreal landscape of towering ancient baobab trees. Witness a magical sunset here, one of Madagascar’s most photographed spots. Overnight stay in Morondava.
Day 5 : Morondava – Kirindy Forest Reserve Excursion
After an early breakfast, proceed for an excursion to Kirindy Forest Reserve (approx. 60 km / 2 hours one way), known for its unique dry forest ecosystem. Explore the reserve with a guide to spot rare wildlife including the Fossas (Madagascar’s top predator), sifakas, and various endemic species. The forest is also rich in baobab trees and fascinating flora. Return to Morondava in the evening, enjoying another chance to witness the baobabs at sunset. Overnight stay in Morondava.
Day 6 : Morondava – Flight to Antananarivo – Departure
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your return flight to Antananarivo (approx. 1 hour). Upon arrival, depending on your international flight schedule, enjoy last-minute shopping or a short city visit. Later, transfer to Ivato International Airport for your onward journey, concluding your unforgettable Madagascar experience filled with wildlife, landscapes, and cultural richness.
