Day 1 : Arrival in Budapest – Welcome to the Pearl of the Danube
Upon arrival at Budapest International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed and transferred to your hotel (approx. 25 km / 40 minutes). After check-in and relaxation, begin your Hungary journey with a gentle evening orientation walk along the iconic Danube River. Witness the illuminated beauty of landmarks like Hungarian Parliament Building and Chain Bridge. Later, enjoy an optional Danube River Cruise for panoramic night views of the city. Overnight stay in Budapest.
Day 2 : Budapest Sightseeing – Buda & Pest Exploration
After breakfast, proceed for a comprehensive city tour covering both Buda and Pest sides. Start with the historic Buda Castle and enjoy breathtaking views from Fisherman’s Bastion. Visit the stunning Matthias Church before crossing into Pest to explore Heroes' Square and stroll along the elegant Andrássy Avenue. Continue to St. Stephen’s Basilica. Evening free for shopping or café hopping. Overnight stay in Budapest.
Day 3 : Budapest to Eger – Baroque Town & Wine Culture
Post breakfast, drive to Eger (approx. 140 km / 2–2.5 hours), a charming town known for its baroque architecture and wine heritage. Visit the historic Eger Castle and admire panoramic town views. Explore Eger Basilica, one of Hungary’s largest churches. Later, head to the famous Valley of the Beautiful Women for wine tasting, especially the renowned “Bull’s Blood” wine. Overnight stay in Eger.
Day 4 : Eger to Debrecen – Cultural Hub of Eastern Hungary
After breakfast, continue your journey to Debrecen (approx. 130 km / 2 hours), Hungary’s second-largest city. Begin sightseeing with the iconic Great Reformed Church and explore Kossuth Square. Visit the Déri Museum showcasing art and history collections. Later, relax at Nagyerd? Park, a lush green forest park area. Overnight stay in Debrecen.
Day 5 : Debrecen to Szeged – The City of Sunshine
Post breakfast, drive to Szeged (approx. 200 km / 3 hours), known for its vibrant culture and sunny climate. Visit the magnificent Votive Church of Szeged, a stunning neo-Romanesque cathedral. Walk around Dóm Square and explore the riverside promenade along the Tisza River. Enjoy local Hungarian cuisine in the evening. Overnight stay in Szeged.
Day 6 : Szeged to Lake Balaton – The Hungarian Sea
After breakfast, proceed towards Lake Balaton (approx. 260 km / 4–4.5 hours), Central Europe’s largest freshwater lake. En route enjoy scenic countryside views. Upon arrival, explore the charming town of Tihany Peninsula, famous for its lavender fields and the historic Tihany Abbey. Relax by the lakeside, enjoy water activities or simply unwind amidst nature. Overnight stay near Lake Balaton.
Day 7 : Lake Balaton to Budapest – Departure
After breakfast, drive back to Budapest (approx. 135 km / 2 hours). If time permits, enjoy last-minute shopping or revisit favorite spots before heading to the airport for your onward journey with beautiful memories of Hungary.
