Day 1 : Arrival in Budapest – Evening Danube Experience
Arrive at Budapest, the enchanting capital of Hungary, where history meets elegance. Upon arrival at Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport, transfer to your hotel and check-in. After some relaxation, begin your introduction to the city with a scenic drive along the iconic Danube River, which divides Buda and Pest. In the evening, enjoy a memorable Danube River cruise offering panoramic views of illuminated landmarks like the Hungarian Parliament Building and Chain Bridge. This relaxing cruise sets the perfect tone for your Hungary journey. Overnight stay in Budapest.
Day 2 : Budapest Sightseeing – Buda & Pest Exploration
After breakfast, embark on a comprehensive guided tour covering both Buda and Pest sides. Begin with the historic Buda district, visiting the majestic Buda Castle and the stunning Matthias Church. Walk up to Fisherman’s Bastion for breathtaking views of the city skyline. Continue to the Pest side to explore Heroes’ Square, a UNESCO-listed landmark surrounded by impressive statues. Day 3 : Day Trip to Szentendre & Visegrád – Danube Bend Tour
Post breakfast, proceed for a full-day excursion to the scenic Danube Bend region (approx. 70 km / 1.5 hrs). Visit the charming riverside town of Szentendre, known for its colorful streets, art galleries, and souvenir shops. Continue towards Visegrád, famous for its medieval citadel offering panoramic views of the Danube valley. Explore the ruins of the Royal Palace and learn about Hungary’s royal past. Optionally, enjoy a traditional Hungarian lunch with folklore music. Return to Budapest by evening (approx. 70 km / 1.5 hrs). Overnight stay in Budapest.
Day 4 : Budapest to Lake Balaton – Tihany Peninsula Exploration
After breakfast, check out and drive to Lake Balaton (approx. 135 km / 2–2.5 hrs), the largest freshwater lake in Central Europe, often called the “Hungarian Sea.” En route, enjoy scenic countryside views. Visit the picturesque Tihany Peninsula, known for its lavender fields and the historic Tihany Abbey, offering spectacular lake views. Day 5 : Lake Balaton to Eger – Wine Region & Baroque Charm
After breakfast, proceed to Eger (approx. 200 km / 3.5–4 hrs), a historic town known for its baroque architecture and wine culture. Day 6 : Eger to Budapest – Departure
