Day 01 : Arrival in Sofia – Capital Welcome
Arrive at Sofia International Airport, where our team will meet and transfer you to your hotel. After check-in, begin your journey with a panoramic city tour covering highlights like Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, St. George Rotunda, National Assembly Square, and Vitosha Boulevard. Enjoy dinner at a traditional Bulgarian tavern with folklore music. Overnight stay in Sofia.
Day 02 : Rila Monastery Excursion – Spiritual Gem
After breakfast, embark on a full-day guided tour to Rila Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Bulgaria’s most iconic religious monument. Located in the Rila Mountains, it features vibrant frescoes, historic manuscripts, and a peaceful mountain setting. On the way back, stop at the Boyana Church, another UNESCO site known for its 13th-century frescoes. Return to Sofia for overnight stay.
Day 03 : Plovdiv – Old Town & Roman History
Depart for Plovdiv, one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in Europe. Discover its beautifully preserved Roman Amphitheatre, the charming Old Town with traditional houses, and the cobblestone lanes of the Kapana Creative District. Enjoy lunch at a local bistro and free time for art galleries and boutiques. Overnight in Plovdiv.
Day 04 : Bachkovo Monastery & Rhodope Mountains
Today, take a scenic drive to Bachkovo Monastery, nestled in the Rhodope Mountains. Explore this serene site with its sacred icons and peaceful courtyards. Later, enjoy a countryside lunch and a short nature walk in the nearby Chepelare or Asen's Fortress, offering panoramic views of the valley. Return to Plovdiv for overnight.
Day 05 : Veliko Tarnovo – Medieval Bulgaria
Today after breakfast, Drive to the medieval capital of Bulgaria – Veliko Tarnovo. Explore the majestic Tsarevets Fortress, stroll along Samovodska Charshia (Crafts Street), and visit Arbanasi Village, known for its rich architecture and frescoed churches. Enjoy a farewell dinner with wine tasting. Overnight in Veliko Tarnovo.
Day 06 : Departure from Sofia
After breakfast, transfer back to Sofia for your international flight, enriched with Bulgaria’s cultural wonders.
