Peaceful Sikkim - 8 Days

Day 01 : Arrival at NJP Railway Station / IXB Airport – Kalimpong (75 kms / approx. 3 hrs)

Upon arrival at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) or Bagdogra Airport (IXB), you will be received by our representative and transferred to the picturesque hill town of Kalimpong. Nestled in the foothills of the Eastern Himalayas, Kalimpong is known for its serene monasteries, colonial charm, and panoramic views. The remainder of the day is free to relax or explore the local market. Overnight stay in Kalimpong.

Day 02 : Kalimpong to Yuksom (105 kms / approx. 4 hrs)

After a delightful breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Yuksom, the historic first capital of Sikkim, located in West Sikkim. The journey offers beautiful views of lush hills and forested valleys. On arrival in Yuksom, check into your hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure to enjoy the pristine surroundings or take a nature walk in the quaint village. Overnight stay in Yuksom.

Day 03 : Explore Yuksom – History and Nature Walks

Enjoy breakfast, followed by a full day to explore the cultural and historical riches of Yuksom. Visit the Dubdi Monastery, the oldest monastery in Sikkim, perched on a hill and offering scenic vistas. See the Norbugang Coronation Throne, where the first Chogyal (king) of Sikkim was crowned. Take a gentle hike through dense forests to the Kathok Lake, considered sacred by locals. If time permits, visit Kartok Monastery and soak in the peaceful Himalayan atmosphere. Overnight stay in Yuksom.

Day 04 : Yuksom to Temi/Namchi via Pelling (99 kms / approx. 4 hrs)

Post breakfast, drive towards Namchi or Temi Tea Garden, with an en-route visit to Pelling, a charming hill town famous for its Himalayan views. In Pelling, visit the Pemayangtse Monastery, one of the oldest and most important monasteries in Sikkim, and the majestic Rabdentse Ruins, the ancient capital of Sikkim offering breathtaking views of Kanchenjunga. Later, continue your drive to Namchi or Temi and check into your hotel. Overnight stay in Namchi or Temi.

Day 05 : Namchi Sightseeing – Spiritual and Scenic Wonders

After breakfast, proceed for a full-day sightseeing tour of Namchi, the cultural and religious hub of South Sikkim. Visit the towering Statue of Guru Padmasambhava at Samdruptse Hill, which offers panoramic views of the valley. Continue to Siddhesvara Dham (Char Dham), featuring replicas of the four revered Hindu pilgrimage sites and a stunning 87-ft statue of Lord Shiva. You may also explore Rock Garden and Namchi Helipad for scenic photography. Return to your hotel and relax. Overnight stay in Namchi or Temi.

Day 06 : Temi/Namchi to Gangtok (75 kms / approx. 3 hrs)

Post breakfast, begin your journey to Gangtok, the lively capital city of Sikkim. En route, if staying in Temi, take in views of the Temi Tea Garden, the only tea estate in Sikkim producing premium organic tea. Upon arrival in Gangtok, check into your hotel. The rest of the day is free for leisure or a casual stroll around MG Marg, the city’s popular pedestrian boulevard. Overnight stay in Gangtok.

Day 07 : Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir (Nathula Pass optional at extra cost)

After breakfast, embark on an unforgettable excursion to the high-altitude Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft), a sacred glacial lake known for its changing colors and spiritual importance. Continue to the Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir, a shrine dedicated to an Indian Army soldier believed to be guarding the border spiritually. Subject to permit and weather conditions, you may also opt to visit Nathula Pass (at an additional cost), a mountain pass on the Indo-China border. Return to Gangtok by evening. Overnight stay in Gangtok.

Day 08 : Gangtok – NJP Railway Station / IXB Airport Drop (120 kms / approx. 5 hrs)

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and transfer to NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport for your onward journey, carrying back memories of a culturally rich and visually spectacular Himalayan holiday.
