Arrival in Guwahati – Transfer to Shillong (Approx. 100 km / 3 hrs)
Upon arrival at Guwahati Airport, meet our representative and begin your scenic drive to Shillong, famously known as the “Scotland of the East.” En route, halt at the picturesque Umiam Lake, a vast man-made reservoir surrounded by lush hills, perfect for photography and relaxation. Continue your journey to Shillong and check in at your hotel. In the evening, explore the vibrant local market at Police Bazaar and soak in the pleasant weather of Meghalaya. Overnight stay in Shillong.
Day 02 : Shillong Local Sightseeing
After breakfast, proceed for a full-day exploration of Shillong’s top attractions. Visit the panoramic Shillong Peak for breathtaking views of the city, followed by the stunning Elephant Falls, known for its multi-tiered beauty. Continue to Ward’s Lake and the beautifully maintained Lady Hydari Park. You may also visit local museums or cafes reflecting Khasi culture. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Shillong.
Day 03 : Shillong to Cherrapunji (Approx. 55 km / 2 hrs)
Post breakfast, check out and drive to Cherrapunji, one of the wettest places on Earth. En route, stop at Mawkdok Dympep Valley Viewpoint for a spectacular valley view. Visit the majestic Nohkalikai Falls, India’s tallest plunge waterfall, followed by the mesmerizing Seven Sisters Falls. Explore the limestone formations inside Mawsmai Cave. Check in to your hotel and enjoy the misty ambiance of Sohra. Overnight stay in Cherrapunji.
Day 04 : Cherrapunji to Mawlynnong – Dawki (Approx. 90 km / 3–4 hrs)
After breakfast, proceed to Mawlynnong, famously known as the “Cleanest Village in Asia.” Explore its eco-friendly surroundings and visit the unique Living Root Bridge nearby. Continue your journey to Dawki, located on the Indo-Bangladesh border. Experience boating in the crystal-clear waters of the Umngot River, where boats appear to float on glass. Enjoy the serene natural beauty before checking into your stay near Dawki/Shnongpdeng. Overnight stay in Dawki.
Day 05 : Dawki to Shillong via Scenic Villages (Approx. 80 km / 3 hrs)
After breakfast, enjoy the peaceful riverside atmosphere before heading back to Shillong. En route, admire Meghalaya’s rolling hills, waterfalls, and traditional Khasi villages. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure. You can explore local cafés, handicraft stores, or enjoy the cool climate of the hill station. Overnight stay in Shillong.
Day 06 : Excursion to Jowai & Krang Suri Falls (Approx. 130 km / 4–5 hrs round trip)
Today, embark on a day excursion to Jowai in the Jaintia Hills region. Visit the stunning Krang Suri Falls, known for its turquoise blue waters and picturesque setting, ideal for relaxation and photography. Explore nearby viewpoints and enjoy the serene, less-crowded landscapes of Meghalaya. Later, return to Shillong for an overnight stay.
Day 07 : Shillong to Guwahati Departure (Approx. 100 km / 3 hrs)
After breakfast, check out from your hotel and proceed to Guwahati Airport for your onward journey. If time permits, you may visit the sacred Kamakhya Temple, one of the most important pilgrimage sites in India. Bid farewell to Meghalaya, taking back unforgettable memories of waterfalls, caves, living root bridges, and serene landscapes.
