Day 01 : Cochin – Munnar (Approx. 135 km / 4.5 hours)
Welcome to Cochin! Upon arrival at the airport or railway station, begin your scenic drive towards Munnar, Kerala’s most loved hill station, nestled in the lush Western Ghats. On the way, enjoy stunning views of tea plantations, rolling hills, and gushing waterfalls. En route, make brief stops at Cheeyappara and Valara Waterfalls, two cascading beauties surrounded by forest. On arrival in Munnar, check into your hotel and relax amidst the cool mountain air.Overnight Stay in Munnar.
Day 02 : Munnar Sightseeing
After a delightful breakfast at the hotel, set off for a full-day exploration of Munnar’s iconic attractions. Start with a visit to the Eravikulam National Park, home to the endangered Nilgiri Tahr and known for its sweeping grasslands and scenic vistas. Next, visit the Tea Museum, offering insights into Munnar’s colonial history and tea-making legacy. Continue to Mattupetty Dam for boating and serene views, then head to Echo Point, famous for its natural echo phenomenon. Day 03 : Munnar – Thekkady (Approx. 100 km / 2.5 hours)
After breakfast, check out and drive to Thekkady, a land of dense forests and spice plantations, and the gateway to Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. Upon arrival, check into your hotel or jungle resort. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat ride on Periyar Lake, where you may spot wild elephants, bison, and a variety of birdlife in their natural habitat. Later, visit a spice plantation to see cardamom, pepper, and cinnamon in their natural environment. You may also attend an optional Kalaripayattu (martial arts) or Kathakali (classical dance) performance in the evening.Overnight Stay in Thekkady.
Day 04 : Thekkady Sightseeing
After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, continue exploring the natural beauty and cultural charm of Thekkady. Take an early morning guided nature walk or bamboo rafting experience inside the Periyar Tiger Reserve (subject to availability and forest regulations). Visit the Elephant Junction for a hands-on experience including elephant feeding or bathing. The afternoon is ideal for shopping at Kumily Spice Market, where you can buy authentic Kerala spices and handmade products. Day 05 : Thekkady – Kumarakom (Approx. 156 km / 5 hours)
Enjoy breakfast and check out for a beautiful drive through the countryside to Kumarakom, a peaceful village set on the banks of Vembanad Lake and known for its emerald backwaters. Upon arrival, check into your resort or backwater retreat. The rest of the day is free to relax by the lake, enjoy the views of swaying palms, or explore the area. Day 06 : Day at Leisure in Kumarakom
Start your day with a delicious breakfast, then enjoy a full day of relaxation. Lounge at the resort, pamper yourself with a traditional Ayurvedic massage, or take a canoe ride through the smaller canals of the backwaters. Visit the famous Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, a haven for migratory birds like herons, egrets, and the Siberian stork. Day 07 : Kumarakom – Cochin (Approx. 65 km / 2 hours)
After breakfast, check out and drive to Cochin (Kochi). On arrival, explore the historic charms of Fort Kochi, including the iconic Chinese Fishing Nets, St. Francis Church, and Santa Cruz Basilica. Visit Mattancherry Palace (Dutch Palace) and the Jewish Synagogue in the old Jew Town area, renowned for its spice markets and antique shops. Day 08 : Depart from Cochin
