Classic Karnataka - 10 Days

Day 01 : Arrival in Bangalore – Nandi Hills (60 km / approx. 1.5 hours)

Welcome to Bangalore! Upon your arrival, begin your journey with an early morning drive to the serene Nandi Hills, a perfect spot to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the misty hilltops. Perched at 1,478 meters above sea level, Nandi Hills is a popular weekend retreat offering stunning views and historical landmarks like Tipu Sultan’s Summer Palace and Fort. Spend the morning enjoying the fresh mountain air and scenic beauty before returning to Bangalore for hotel check-in and leisure time. Overnight stay at Banglore.

Day 02 : Bangalore – Mysuru (149 km / approx. 3 hours)

After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, embark on a comfortable drive to the culturally rich city of Mysuru. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and begin your exploration with a visit to the majestic Mysore Palace, a stunning example of Indo-Saracenic architecture and one of the most visited monuments in India. Continue to the Chamundi Hill to see the Chamundeshwari Temple and enjoy panoramic views of the city. Wrap up the day with a visit to the famous Brindavan Gardens, beautifully lit in the evening and known for its musical fountain show.

Day 03 : Mysuru – Coorg (118 km / approx. 3 hours)

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before departing for Coorg, famously known as the “Scotland of India.” This scenic hill station in Karnataka is renowned for its lush greenery, coffee plantations, and cool climate. After checking into your resort, unwind amidst nature and later explore Raja’s Seat – a charming garden with spectacular sunset views. If time permits, enjoy a relaxing stroll through nearby coffee estates or local markets in Madikeri.

Day 04 : Coorg Sightseeing

After breakfast, set out for a full-day sightseeing tour of Coorg. Begin with a visit to the Abbey Falls, nestled amidst coffee plantations and spice estates. Continue to Talacauvery – the birthplace of the River Cauvery – located atop Brahmagiri Hill. Also visit the sacred Omkareshwara Temple, known for its blend of Gothic and Islamic architecture. In the afternoon, head to Dubare Elephant Camp to interact with elephants and watch them being bathed and fed. The evening is free to relax in your resort or enjoy a bonfire under the stars.

Day 05 : Coorg – Wayanad (118 km / approx. 3 hours)

Post breakfast, check out and proceed to the picturesque district of Wayanad in Kerala, known for its untouched natural beauty and spice plantations. Upon arrival, check into your resort nestled in the hills and forests. Later, explore Pookode Lake, a scenic freshwater lake surrounded by forests, and relax with a boat ride. End your day with a visit to Lakkidi View Point for stunning valley vistas as the sun sets.

Day 06 : Wayanad Sightseeing

After breakfast, begin your Wayanad exploration with Edakkal Caves, famous for prehistoric petroglyphs that date back to the Neolithic era. Next, visit Soochipara Falls, a three-tiered waterfall set in a forested landscape – ideal for photography and short treks. In the afternoon, discover the Wayanad Heritage Museum, which provides insight into the region’s tribal culture and history. If time permits, stop by Banasura Sagar Dam, India’s largest earthen dam, surrounded by hills and small islands.

Day 07 : Wayanad – Bandipur (90 km / approx. 2.5 hours)

Following breakfast, check out and head toward Bandipur National Park, a key part of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve. On arrival, check into your jungle lodge and prepare for an afternoon wildlife safari (subject to availability and weather conditions). Bandipur is home to elephants, tigers, leopards, and numerous bird species. Spend the evening surrounded by the sounds of the wild and the serenity of nature.

Day 08 : Bandipur – Kabini (60 km / approx. 1 hour)

After a relaxing breakfast, proceed to Kabini, one of South India’s most popular wildlife destinations. Once a hunting lodge of the Maharajas of Mysore, Kabini now offers luxurious forest resorts and excellent wildlife experiences. After checking in, enjoy a boat safari along the Kabini River or an evening jeep safari through Nagarhole National Park. Keep an eye out for elephants, deer, and if lucky, the elusive black panther or tiger.

Day 09 : Kabini – Bangalore (168 km / approx. 3 hours)

After breakfast, bid farewell to the wilderness and drive back to Bangalore. On arrival, check into your hotel or spend time shopping at Commercial Street or visiting Bangalore Palace, depending on your schedule. The evening is at your leisure to relax or explore the vibrant city nightlife.

Day 10 : Departure from Bangalore

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before checking out. Depending on your flight/train schedule, you may have time for some last-minute shopping or a quick visit to Lalbagh Botanical Garden or Cubbon Park. Proceed to the airport/railway station for your onward journey with cherished memories of your South Indian adventure.
