Classic Kashmir - 9 Days

Day 01 : Arrival in Jammu – Drive to Katra (44 Kms / Approx. 1 Hour)

Upon arrival at Jammu Airport or Railway Station, you will be welcomed by our representative and driven to Katra, the base camp for the revered Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine. On arrival, check into your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure to rest or explore the small market nearby. This spiritual town nestled in the Trikuta Mountains offers a tranquil atmosphere in preparation for your pilgrimage. (No meals included on arrival day). Overnight stay at the hotel in Katra.

Day 02 : Katra – Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Visit

After an early breakfast at the hotel, begin your trek to the sacred Vaishno Devi Shrine, located at an altitude of 5,300 feet. Pilgrims can reach the shrine by foot, pony, palki, or helicopter (optional, at own cost). The spiritual journey is filled with devotion and scenic mountain views. After darshan and blessings at the holy cave, return to Katra by evening. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Katra.

Day 03 : Katra – Srinagar (221 Kms / Approx. 6 Hours)

Enjoy a hearty breakfast at the hotel before checking out and departing for Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu & Kashmir, known for its mesmerizing gardens, lakes, and houseboats. On arrival, check in to your traditional Kashmiri houseboat anchored on the Dal Lake. Later, you may enjoy a short Shikara ride (optional) and take in the tranquil ambiance. Overnight stay in a houseboat in Srinagar.

Day 04 : Excursion to Gulmarg (51 Kms / Approx. 2 Hours One Way)

After breakfast, proceed on a full-day excursion to Gulmarg, one of Kashmir’s most scenic destinations known as the "Meadow of Flowers". Enjoy views of snow-clad peaks and lush meadows. You can take the Gondola cable car ride (at your own cost) up to Apharwat Peak, offering panoramic Himalayan views. Also visit the Gulmarg Golf Course, one of the highest in the world. Return to Srinagar in the evening. Overnight stay at the hotel in Srinagar.

Day 05 : Srinagar – Pahalgam (89 Kms / Approx. 3 Hours)

After breakfast at the hotel, check out and drive to Pahalgam, the “Valley of Shepherds,” located on the banks of the Lidder River. En route, you can stop at the Avantipura Ruins and Saffron fields of Pampore. Upon arrival in Pahalgam, check into your hotel and spend the evening at leisure. Enjoy the serene beauty of the surrounding mountains and the river. Overnight stay at the hotel in Pahalgam.

Day 06 : Pahalgam Sightseeing

Start your day with breakfast at the hotel and proceed for sightseeing in and around Pahalgam. Visit Betaab Valley, named after the Bollywood film “Betaab,” known for its stunning landscapes and pine forests. Continue to Aru Valley, a picturesque hamlet surrounded by meadows, and Chandanwari, the starting point of the Amarnath Yatra (transportation by local union vehicles, at own cost). Return to the hotel for a relaxed evening. Overnight stay in Pahalgam.

Day 07 : Pahalgam – Srinagar + Local Sightseeing (89 Kms / Approx. 3 Hours)

Enjoy breakfast, then check out and drive back to Srinagar. Upon arrival, check into your hotel. In the afternoon, proceed for local sightseeing including the famous Mughal Gardens—Shalimar Bagh, Nishat Bagh, and Chashme Shahi. Visit the historic Shankaracharya Temple, perched atop a hill with stunning views of Dal Lake and the city. Later, explore the vibrant local markets for Kashmiri handicrafts. Overnight stay in Srinagar.

Day 08 : Excursion to Sonmarg (80 Kms / Approx. 3 Hours One Way)

After breakfast at the hotel, take a full-day excursion to Sonmarg, meaning “Meadow of Gold”, nestled at an altitude of 2,800 meters. Drive through the scenic Sindh Valley. At Sonmarg, enjoy optional pony rides to Thajiwas Glacier, where you can witness snow even in summer. Adventure seekers can enjoy trout fishing and nature walks. Return to Srinagar by evening. Overnight stay at the hotel in Srinagar.

Day 09 : Departure from Srinagar

After breakfast, check out from the hotel. Depending on your flight or train timing, you may have time for some last-minute shopping. You will then be transferred to Srinagar Airport for your onward journey, carrying beautiful memories of Kashmir’s spiritual and scenic wonders.
