Day 01 : Ahmedabad – Dwarka (Approx. 450 km / 8.5 hours)
Your spiritual and cultural journey begins as you depart from Ahmedabad and drive towards the sacred city of Dwarka, located on the western tip of the Saurashtra peninsula. The long yet scenic drive of around 450 kilometers takes approximately 8.5 hours, passing through rural Gujarat and coastal landscapes. Upon arrival in Dwarka, check in to your hotel and unwind. In the evening, you may attend the Aarti (evening prayer ceremony) at the revered Dwarkadhish Temple, one of the four Char Dham pilgrimage sites dedicated to Lord Krishna. Overnight stay in Dwarka.
Day 02 : Dwarka Darshan
After breakfast, embark on a full day of temple exploration and coastal sightseeing in Dwarka, a city steeped in mythology and devotion. Begin with a visit to the Dwarkadhish Temple, also known as Jagat Mandir, featuring exquisite architecture and deep spiritual significance. Proceed to Rukmini Devi Temple, dedicated to Lord Krishna’s consort, located slightly on the outskirts. Later, visit the Nageshwar Jyotirlinga Temple, one of the 12 sacred Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, situated about 17 km from the city. On the way back, stop at Gopi Talav, a serene pond associated with the gopis (milkmaids) of Krishna’s legend. Conclude the day with a trip to Beyt Dwarka, an island accessible by boat, believed to be the original residence of Lord Krishna. Also explore Dwarka Beach and the Lighthouse in the evening for a coastal sunset view. Overnight stay in Dwarka.
Day 03 : Dwarka – Porbandar – Somnath (Approx. 240 km / 5 hours)
After breakfast, check out and begin your coastal drive to Somnath, with a significant en route stop at Porbandar, located about halfway. In Porbandar, visit the Kirti Mandir, the ancestral home and birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi, which has now been converted into a museum displaying his life and legacy. You may also visit the Sudama Temple, dedicated to Lord Krishna’s childhood friend. Continue your journey towards Somnath, one of the most sacred Jyotirlinga sites in India. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel. In the evening, attend the majestic Somnath Temple Aartiand witness the beautiful Sound & Light Show that narrates the temple’s turbulent history and resilience. Overnight stay in Somnath.
Day 04 : Somnath Sightseeing
Begin your day with a spiritual ambiance as you visit the Somnath Mahadev Temple, perched on the shore of the Arabian Sea and revered as the first among the twelve Jyotirlingas. After seeking blessings, proceed to Bhalka Tirth, the legendary site where Lord Krishna is believed to have left his earthly body. Also visit the Triveni Sangam, the confluence of three holy rivers – Hiran, Kapila, and Saraswati – considered a sacred bathing spot. If time permits, explore the Prabhas Patan Museum, which houses ancient artifacts related to the Somnath temple and the region’s heritage. Relax by the Somnath Beach in the evening or enjoy local street food. Overnight stay in Somnath.
Day 05 : omnath – Ahmedabad Departure (Approx. 400 km / 8 hours)
After an early breakfast, check out from your hotel and begin the return journey to Ahmedabad, covering approximately 400 kilometers in around 8 hours. You may opt for brief halts at local dhabas or temples along the way. On arrival in Ahmedabad, you will be dropped at the airport or railway station for your onward journey. As your divine trail through Gujarat concludes, you take home blessings, historical insights, and the serenity of the state’s sacred coastline.
