Day 01 : Arrival at Ahmedabad
Welcome to Ahmedabad, Gujarat’s largest city and a UNESCO World Heritage City known for its vibrant culture and historical architecture. Upon arrival, meet your tour representative and check in at the hotel. Begin your city exploration with a visit to the Sabarmati Ashram, Mahatma Gandhi’s former residence on the banks of the Sabarmati River. Then explore the intricately carved Adalaj Stepwell, and if time permits, drive past Sidi Saiyyed Mosque and enjoy the local street food at Manek Chowk. Overnight stay in Ahmedabad.
Day 02 : Ahmedabad – Patan (Approx. 128 km / 3 hours)
After breakfast, set off for Patan, a historic town renowned for its stepwells and textile heritage. On the way, you may choose to stop at Modhera Sun Temple – a spectacular 11th-century temple dedicated to the Sun God, known for its exquisite carvings and architecture. Upon arrival in Patan, visit the Rani ki Vav (Queen's Stepwell), a UNESCO World Heritage Site admired for its seven levels of intricately sculpted panels. You can also explore Patan Patola Heritage Museum, where you’ll witness the ancient art of Patola silk weaving. Overnight stay in Patan.
Day 03 : Patan – Little Rann of Kutch (Approx. 113 km / 3 hours)
After breakfast, depart for the Little Rann of Kutch, a vast salt desert and ecological haven. Check into an eco-resort or desert camp upon arrival. In the afternoon, enjoy a thrilling jeep safari in the Wild Ass Sanctuary, the only place in the world where the endangered Indian Wild Ass still roams free. The sanctuary is also a birdwatcher's paradise with species like flamingos, cranes, and pelicans. In the evening, interact with local tribal communities such as the Rabari and Bharwad, and experience traditional folk culture. Overnight stay near the Little Rann.
Day 04 : Little Rann of Kutch – Dholavira (Approx. 210 km / 5 hours)
After an early breakfast, drive towards Dholavira, one of the most remarkable and well-preserved sites of the Indus Valley Civilization. The journey takes you across the salt desert of the Great Rann and via the Khadir Bet island. Upon arrival, check in at an eco-resort or homestay. In the evening, relax and take in the serene environment of this offbeat archaeological destination. Overnight stay in Dholavira.
Day 05 : Dholavira – Dhordo (Approx. 90 km / 2 hours)
Begin your day by exploring the Dholavira archaeological site, known for its sophisticated urban planning, drainage systems, and reservoirs that date back over 4,000 years. After sightseeing, proceed to Dhordo, located near the White Rann and famous for hosting the Rann Utsav. Upon arrival, check into your traditional Kutchi-style Bhungaaccommodation. In the evening, visit the White Rann of Kutch, a surreal salt desert that stretches to the horizon—perfect for sunset photography. Overnight stay in Dhordo.
Day 06 : Dhordo – Bhuj (Approx. 80 km / 2 hours)
After breakfast, drive to Bhuj, the cultural hub of Kutch. On arrival, check into your hotel and set out to explore key landmarks including Aina Mahal, a palace with Indo-European design and a hall of mirrors; Prag Mahal, a 19th-century Gothic-style structure; and the Kutch Museum, Gujarat’s oldest museum showcasing tribal arts, textiles, and archaeology. If time allows, visit Bhujodi Village, a craftsman’s enclave famous for weaving and embroidery. Overnight stay in Bhuj.
Day 07 : Bhuj – Rajkot (Approx. 230 km / 5 hours)
Today, drive to Rajkot, a major city in the Saurashtra region known for its royal history and connection with Mahatma Gandhi. En route, you may take a brief halt at Morbi, known for its European-influenced architecture and ceramic industry. Upon reaching Rajkot, check into your hotel and explore Kaba Gandhi No Delo, Gandhi’s childhood home, and Watson Museum, which exhibits Gujarat’s colonial and cultural history. Enjoy shopping for Bandhani fabrics and traditional snacks. Overnight stay in Rajkot.
Day 08 : Rajkot – Ahmedabad Departure(Approx. 214 km / 4 hours)
After breakfast, begin your return journey to Ahmedabad. Depending on your departure schedule, you may stop at Lothal, another significant Harappan site (optional). Upon arrival in Ahmedabad, you will be dropped off at the airport or railway station for your onward journey, bringing your enriching and culturally immersive Gujarat tour to a delightful close.
