Day 01 : Arrival at Ahmedabad
Welcome to Ahmedabad, Gujarat’s vibrant and historic capital. Upon arrival at the airport or railway station, meet your representative and transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon, explore the Sabarmati Ashram, once the home of Mahatma Gandhi, followed by a visit to the intricately carved Adalaj Stepwell and the beautiful Akshardham Temple (if time permits). In the evening, enjoy local Gujarati cuisine and explore the old city heritage lanes. Overnight stay in Ahmedabad.
Day 02 : Ahmedabad – Little Rann of Kutch (Approx. 100 km / 2.5 hours)
After breakfast, drive to the Little Rann of Kutch, a unique salt marsh and home to the Indian Wild Ass Sanctuary. Upon arrival, check in at an eco-resort or desert lodge. In the afternoon, enjoy an exciting jeep safari through the surreal terrain, spotting wildlife like wild asses, desert foxes, and numerous bird species including flamingos and cranes. In the evening, interact with local tribes like the Rabari and enjoy folk performances around a campfire. Overnight stay near the Little Rann.
Day 03 : Little Rann of Kutch – Dholavira (Approx. 260 km / 6–7 hours)
Depart early for Dholavira, located on Khadir Bet Island in the Great Rann of Kutch. The drive takes you through desert landscapes and across a long causeway. Arrive in Dholavira and check in to your eco-accommodation. In the evening, relax and witness a dramatic sunset over the salt marshes. Overnight stay in Dholavira.
Day 04 : Dholavira Sightseeing
Today, explore the archaeological site of Dholavira, one of the most prominent cities of the Indus Valley Civilization. Discover the well-planned urban settlement, advanced drainage systems, and reservoirs that reveal the brilliance of ancient engineering. Visit the small onsite museum showcasing artifacts excavated from the site. Later, enjoy a quiet walk across the salt plains and stargaze under the clear desert sky. Overnight stay in Dholavira.
Day 05 : Dholavira – Hodka Village (Approx. 220 km / 5–6 hours)
After breakfast, drive towards Hodka Village, situated in the heart of the Banni Grasslands near the White Rann. On arrival, check in to a traditional Bhunga (mud hut) at an eco-friendly village resort. Spend the evening exploring the local handicrafts, leatherwork, and embroidery made by the Meghwal and Mutwa communities. Overnight stay in Hodka.
Day 06 : Excursion to Banni Villages
Today, set out for a day-long excursion across the Banni region, visiting artisan villages like Nirona (famous for Rogan art and lacquer work), Ludiya, and Dhordo. Witness the unique architecture, colorful clothing, and exquisite craftsmanship of the nomadic tribes. Later in the evening, drive to the White Rann of Kutch to witness the mesmerizing sunset over the salt desert. Return to Hodka for overnight stay.
Day 07 : Hodka Village – Bhuj (Approx. 65 km / 2 hours)
After a leisurely breakfast, drive to Bhuj, the cultural heart of Kutch. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel. Explore Aina Mahal, an 18th-century palace showcasing Indo-European architecture, and Prag Mahal, a grand Gothic structure. Visit the Kutch Museum, Gujarat’s oldest museum, known for tribal artifacts and folk art. End the day with a visit to the local markets for textiles, Bandhani, and handicrafts. Overnight stay in Bhuj.
Day 08 : Bhuj Local Sightseeing
Continue exploring Bhuj with a morning visit to Hamirsar Lake, followed by a trip to Bhujodi Village, a handloom weaving hub where you can see artisans at work. Later, visit the Vande Mataram Memorial at Bhujodi and take in the spirit of Indian independence. Enjoy some leisure time in the evening. Overnight stay in Bhuj.
Day 09 : Bhuj – Mandvi (Approx. 60 km / 1.5 hours)
After breakfast, drive to the coastal town of Mandvi, known for its beaches and royal past. On arrival, visit the Vijay Vilas Palace, the summer retreat of the Kutch royal family, set in lush gardens with a private beach. Later, relax at the pristine Mandvi Beach, where you may spot flamingos during winter months. Optionally, visit the Shipbuilding Yard, where wooden ships are handcrafted using age-old methods. Overnight stay in Mandvi.
Day 10 : Mandvi – Jamnagar (Approx. 315 km / 6–7 hours)
Begin your journey towards Jamnagar, a city of temples and lakes. Check in to your hotel upon arrival. Visit the serene Lakhota Lake and the adjoining Lakhota Fort, now a museum showcasing medieval arms and artifacts. If time allows, explore Bala Hanuman Temple, famous for its nonstop chanting of the “Ram Dhun” since 1964. Overnight stay in Jamnagar.
Day 11 : Excursion to Pirotan Island
Today, embark on a unique excursion to Pirotan Island, a part of the Marine National Park (subject to tide and forest department permission). Accessible only by boat during high tide, the island is home to coral reefs, mangroves, and diverse marine life. Enjoy a peaceful time exploring tidal pools, spotting crabs, starfish, and rare migratory birds. Return to Jamnagar in the evening. Overnight stay in Jamnagar.
Day 12 : Jamnagar – Dwarka (Approx. 130 km / 3 hours)
After breakfast, drive to the holy city of Dwarka, one of the Char Dham and Sapta Puri pilgrimage sites. Check in to your hotel and proceed to the Dwarkadhish Temple, dedicated to Lord Krishna. Explore the Gomti Ghat, Sudama Setu, and Rukmini Devi Temple. In the evening, attend the Aarti ceremony at the temple. Overnight stay in Dwarka.
Day 13 : Excursion to Nageshwar Jyotirlinga & Shivrajpur Beach
Start the day with a visit to Nageshwar Jyotirlinga Temple, one of the 12 sacred Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. Later, head to Shivrajpur Beach, a clean Blue Flag-certified beach ideal for relaxation and photography. Enjoy optional water sports or simply unwind by the sea. Return to Dwarka in the evening. Overnight stay in Dwarka.
Day 14 : Dwarka – Porbandar – Somnath (Approx. 240 km / 6 hours)
Drive to Somnath, with a stop at Porbandar, the birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi. Visit Kirti Mandir, the ancestral home turned museum. Continue to Somnath and visit the iconic Somnath Jyotirlinga Temple, located on the Arabian Sea’s edge. Enjoy the Sound and Light Show in the evening which narrates the temple’s rich history. Overnight stay in Somnath.
Day 15 : Somnath Sightseeing
Begin your day with a spiritual visit to Bhalka Tirth, believed to be the place where Lord Krishna was wounded. Also visit Triveni Sangam, the sacred confluence of three rivers. Explore Gita Mandir and relax at the serene Somnath beach before returning to your hotel. Overnight stay in Somnath.
Day 16 : Somnath – Diu (Approx. 85 km / 2 hours)
Today, proceed to the coastal town of Diu, a former Portuguese colony known for its relaxed vibe. Upon arrival, check in and visit the impressive Diu Fort, St. Paul’s Church, and the naturally carved Naida Caves. Later, relax at Nagoa Beach or enjoy some water sports. Overnight stay in Diu.
Day 17 : Diu – Sasan Gir (Approx. 70 km / 2 hours)
After breakfast, drive to Sasan Gir, the last remaining habitat of the Asiatic Lion. Upon arrival, check in at your wildlife resort. In the afternoon, enjoy a thrilling jeep safari inside Gir National Park (subject to availability), where you may also spot leopards, deer, and exotic birdlife. Overnight stay in Gir.
Day 18 : Sasan Gir – Junagadh (Approx. 60 km / 1.5 hours)
This morning, after an optional second safari, depart for Junagadh, a historical city at the foot of Mount Girnar. Visit the majestic Uparkot Fort, Mahabat Maqbara, and Ashokan Rock Edicts. If time permits, take a short walk through the local bazaars. Overnight stay in Junagadh.
Day 19 : Junagadh – Rajkot (Approx. 105 km / 2.5 hours)
After breakfast, drive to Rajkot, the vibrant city known for its association with Mahatma Gandhi. Visit Kaba Gandhi No Delo, Gandhi’s childhood residence, now a museum. Explore the Watson Museum and shop for Bandhani fabrics and local snacks. Overnight stay in Rajkot.
Day 20 : Rajkot – Ahmedabad (Approx. 215 km / 4–5 hours) – Departure
After breakfast, check out and drive back to Ahmedabad. You will be dropped at the airport or railway station for your onward journey with unforgettable memories of Gujarat’s temples, wildlife, salt deserts, and coastal charm.
