Eco Campsite Tour - 6 Days

Day 01 : Ahmedabad – Polo Forest (Approx. 160 km / 3.5–4 hours)

Your journey begins with a scenic drive from Ahmedabad to the serene and ancient Polo Forest, nestled near the Aravalli hills in Sabarkantha district. Arrive and check in to the eco-campsite, surrounded by lush greenery and dense forest cover. Spend the afternoon exploring the Polo Jain Temples, believed to date back to the 10th century, with their intricate stone carvings. Later, enjoy a guided nature trail or birdwatching walk within the forest area, home to various migratory birds and small mammals. The tranquil setting and the rich biodiversity make Polo Forest an excellent introduction to Gujarat’s wild side. Overnight stay at the Polo eco-camp.

Day 02 : Polo Forest – Kevadi Campsite (Approx. 280 km / 6 hours)

After breakfast amidst nature, depart for the Kevadi Eco Tourism Campsite, located near the world-famous Statue of Unity in Narmada district. En route, enjoy glimpses of rural Gujarat, passing through hilly roads, tribal hamlets, and river valleys. On arrival, check into your riverside tents or eco-cottages. In the evening, visit the Statue of Unity, the tallest statue in the world, dedicated to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Take the elevator ride up to the viewing gallery for panoramic views of the Narmada River and surrounding dam. Don’t miss the Light & Sound Show at night, narrating the life and legacy of the Iron Man of India. Overnight stay at Kevadi Campsite.

Day 03 : Kevadi Campsite – Zarwani Eco Campsite (Approx. 25 km / 1 hour)

Start your day with a short drive to the Zarwani Eco Campsite, situated deep within the Shoolpaneshwar Wildlife Sanctuary. After check-in, prepare for a refreshing hike to the scenic Zarwani Waterfalls, an untouched gem where crystal-clear waters cascade through rocky terrain, surrounded by dense forest. You may also spot langurs, barking deer, or hornbills during your trek. Visit the Shoolpaneshwar Temple, a sacred site for locals. In the evening, sit around a campfire, enjoying the peace of nature under a starlit sky. Overnight stay at Zarwani Eco Campsite.

Day 04 : Zarwani Eco Campsite – Purna Wildlife Sanctuary (Approx. 170 km / 4.5–5 hours)

After breakfast, continue southwards to the lesser-explored but ecologically rich Purna Wildlife Sanctuary, located in the Dangs region. Drive through winding roads and tribal settlements before reaching the forest-fringed Mahal Eco Campsite or other nearby eco-lodges. After check-in, enjoy an evening walk through parts of the forest, guided by local naturalists. Purna is known for its dense deciduous forests, giant squirrels, and various bird species. The sanctuary lies in the Western Ghats, which adds to its high biodiversity and moist forest ambiance. Overnight stay in the forest camp or lodge.

Day 05 : Excursion to Padam Dungri Eco-Tourism Site (Approx. 35 km / 1 hour one way)

Today, embark on an excursion to Padam Dungri, a scenic eco-tourism site nestled on the banks of the Ambika River, surrounded by forested hills. It’s perfect for picnics, short hikes, and nature photography. Enjoy local tribal cuisine and take a short bamboo raft ride or guided walk around the area. The place also offers a chance to interact with tribal communities and understand their traditional lifestyles. After spending the day amidst nature, return to your campsite near Purna for a restful evening. Overnight stay at Purna Wildlife Sanctuary.

Day 06 : Purna Wildlife Sanctuary – Surat Departure (Approx. 130 km / 3.5 hours)

After a final breakfast in the heart of nature, bid farewell to the forests of South Gujarat and begin your drive toward Surat, a bustling city and your onward departure point. If time permits, en route you may stop at Gira Waterfalls(seasonal), especially scenic during monsoons. On arrival in Surat, you will be dropped at the airport or railway station for your journey back home, filled with memories of Gujarat’s wild trails, tribal culture, and peaceful natural retreats.
