Day 01 : Ahmedabad – Little Rann of Kutch (Approx. 100 km / 2.5 hrs)
Welcome to Gujarat! Upon arrival at Ahmedabad Airport or Railway Station, you will be met by our representative. Begin your journey toward the Little Rann of Kutch, a unique salt marshland and the only home of the endangered Indian Wild Ass. On arrival, check in at a wildlife resort near Dasada or Zainabad. In the afternoon, enjoy an optional jeep safari in the Wild Ass Sanctuary, where you can also spot blue bulls, desert foxes, and a variety of migratory birds like flamingos and pelicans. Experience the raw beauty of the Rann at sunset. Overnight stay at Little Rann of Kutch.
Day 02 : Little Rann of Kutch – Bhuj (Approx. 260 km / 5.5 hrs)
After breakfast, drive westward toward Bhuj, the cultural heart of the Kutch region. En route, pass through rustic landscapes and traditional villages. On arrival in Bhuj, complete the permit formalities (required for visiting the Rann) and check in at your hotel. Later, visit Aina Mahal (Palace of Mirrors), Prag Mahal, Bhuj Museum, and the intricately designed Swaminarayan Temple. Enjoy the evening exploring the local markets known for Bandhani textiles, silver jewelry, and handicrafts. Overnight stay in Bhuj.
Day 03 : Bhuj Sightseeing & Bhujodi Village
Start your day with an excursion to Bhujodi, just 8 km away, known as a craft village and home to talented weavers and artisans. You can observe the traditional process of weaving, Rogan art, and other crafts, and shop for authentic handmade souvenirs. Return to Bhuj and visit Kutch Craft Museum or explore the Hiralaxmi Memorial Craft Park. Optional visit to Ajrakhpur, known for block printing. In the evening, enjoy local cuisine or attend a folk performance (subject to availability). Overnight stay in Bhuj.
Day 04 : Bhuj – Banni & Pachham Region – Great Rann of Kutch (Approx. 90 km / 2.5 hrs)
Post breakfast, head to the Banni and Pachham regions, home to some of the most colorful and culturally rich tribal villages of Kutch such as Ludia, Bhirandiyara, Hodka, and Nirona. Interact with local artisans known for leatherwork, pottery, embroidery, and lacquerware. Continue toward Dhordo, the gateway to the Great Rann of Kutch.
Upon arrival, check in to your tented accommodation or resort. In the evening, proceed to the White Rann to witness the surreal landscape and a breathtaking sunset over the salt desert. If you're traveling during the Rann Utsav, enjoy cultural performances, craft bazaars, and folk dances under the moonlit sky. Overnight stay in Dhordo.
Day 05 : Excursion to Tribal Villages & Kalo Dungar (Approx. 70 km round trip)
After breakfast, explore the nearby tribal hamlets to experience authentic Kutch culture. Visit Gandhi nu Gaam, known for beautiful embroidery and handcrafted bells. Later, drive to Kalo Dungar (Black Hill)—the highest point in Kutch—for panoramic views of the Great Rann stretching into infinity. En route, stop at the India Bridge, a restricted border area that offers a glimpse of the Indo-Pak border (entry restricted, but worth a view).
Return to Dhordo by evening for dinner and optional cultural activities. Overnight stay in Dhordo.
Day 06 : Dhordo – Mata No Madh – Koteshwar – Nakhatrana (Approx. 250 km / 6–7 hrs)
After an early breakfast, set out for a full-day spiritual and historical journey to western Kutch. First, visit Mata No Madh, a revered temple dedicated to Goddess Ashapura, the Kuldevi of Kutch rulers. Then continue to the fascinating Lakhpat Fort, once a bustling port town, now a ghost village known for its massive fort walls and the serene Gurdwara Pehli Patshahi, visited by Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
Drive onward to Narayan Sarovar, one of the five holy lakes in Hinduism, followed by Koteshwar Mahadev Temple, located right at the western tip of India with views of the Arabian Sea. By evening, reach Nakhatrana, a small town surrounded by forested areas. Overnight stay at a homestay or eco-resort in Nakhatrana.
Day 07 : Nakhatrana – Mandvi (Approx. 110 km / 2.5 hrs)
After breakfast, head south toward the coastal town of Mandvi, famous for its beaches and palaces. On arrival, check in to your hotel or beach resort. Visit the grand Vijay Vilas Palace, a former summer retreat of the Kutch royal family, set amid manicured gardens and with its own private beach.
Later, relax at Mandvi Beach, known for camel rides, food stalls, and peaceful sunsets. You can also visit the traditional shipbuilding yard, where craftsmen still build wooden ships using age-old techniques. Overnight stay in Mandvi.
Day 08 : Mandvi – Ahmedabad Departure (Approx. 400 km / 8 hrs)
After breakfast, check out and begin your return drive to Ahmedabad. This long but scenic drive offers the perfect opportunity to reflect on the diverse landscapes, cultures, and spiritual experiences you’ve encountered across Kutch.
Arrive in Ahmedabad by late evening and proceed to the airport or railway station for your onward journey, carrying beautiful memories and stories from the magical land of Kutch.
